This book is of AUTHENIC INDIAN WEAVING. Pendleton teaches weaving techniques, as taught the craftsmen for generations of the Navajo and Hopi tribes. Every small detail is explained, including how to collect and store fibers plus building your own Hopi-and Navajo style loom. The finished pieces are entirely authenic. You will be shown the techniques of making your own tools, dyeing and preparing yarns the Indian way, the different weaves and weaving methods, and much more. The author's instruction are clear enough that even the novice can learn how to make the woven rugs, sahes and belts.
