Cottonwood Hotel Unit 1 Bedroom
The Cottonwood Hotel's UNIT #1 is an upper street side small 1 bedroom/1 bath hotel apartment. It is adjacent to the common balcony which overlooks Cottonwood's ONLY downtown area, known as 'OLD TOWN'.
DESCRIPTION: The small apartment has nice refinished original hardwood floors. The living room has a convertible sofa/bed, massage lounge recliner chair with ottoman, pull-out desk drawer with bookshelves and filing, small closet, TV/VCR, Direct TV channels and views of the downtown area. Small kitchen seats two at a round drop leaf table. There is a larger apartment refrigerator, microwave, hotplate, toaster oven, slow cooker, 4-cup coffee pot, pots & pans, dishes, flatware, etc. The bathroom is tiny with a small sink, a small shower with no tub. The bedroom is also very small with a small 2nd closet. One queen bed fits snug up against the wall. There is an armoire, a small night-stand and an AM/FM alarm clock radio. This unit is best suited for a traveling single, a friendly couple, and friendlier 3rd party to sleep on the sleeper sofa. (3 persons are NOT recommended for longer stays, but works for a weekend or over nighter).
A lot of our guests prefer this unit as they enjoy watching the downtown traffic below, as it is a street-side unit, therefore making it susceptible to saloon music on the weekends and restaurant car traffic. For those that may be bothered by the saloon music, I'd suggest something quieter, like Unit 2 or Unit 3. Also Unit 2, 3 or 7, if you prefer a gourmet cooktop versus a hotplate for cooking.
The Cottonwood Hotel Apartments (Apartotel) are ideal for your extended stay, vacation rental, overnight or weekend stay. It is at best preferred by your independent traveler/guest(s) for the extended longer stay and is chosen over other local hotels/motels and lodging by most who have had the opportunity to stay here.

Unit #1 is known as our Elvis Suite. No extra frills, just a couple of original lobby posters hanging on the walls from the 1967 locally filmed movie "Stay Away, Joe" starring Elvis Presley. The picture with Elvis in the car was shot out front the hotel. It was in the movie. Elvis also bought western wear from the western store below the hotel, which at that time was called 'Robinson's Western Wear Clothier'. For more information on the movie go to our Cottonwood History page. The movie is available for viewing in this apartment as well as other locally filmed movies. Elvis did not stay here.
