OFFICE HOURS regular hours are generally not kept. The office is open by appointment for showings or scheduled check-in time.
SECURITY: The entrance going to the upstairs is secure and kept locked.
A LIMITED OCCUPANCY city code is in effect: No more than 10 people are allowed overnight on the WHOLE upper floor. That means no more than 2 people per unit (x5 units), unless otherwise authorized, due to less than 2 registered individuals in another unit. A 3rd person fee will apply.
NONSMOKING: The whole building, upstairs, common areas, and all units are nonsmoking. Smoking is only allowed in the parking lot area or 20 feet from a door or window. SMOKE FREE ARIZONA
FAQ's ...Frequent Asked Question(s): Is the property safe? Is the town safe?
For 16 years, that I can speak of, this property has been very safe. It is trouble-free, drug-free, smoke-free, happy and clean. I will continue to do my best in keeping it that way... I do live here and I do have a zero-tolerance for those who would not respect my home.
***I do like to boast the fact that the police have never had to come to our property for a problem. How many other hotels/motels, apartment complexes can say that? The CPD officers have even thanked me on a couple of occasions.
Our entrance door to the upper floor is kept locked at all times, making it secure. We get a lot of repeat traveling single females that make us their preferred choice.
Overall, I have really been very fortunate in bringing in respectful, quiet guest(s) and tenants. It's normally a certain type of individual that seeks out a unique historic property. That's why I can't stress enough, what we are and what we are about.
Downtown 'Old Town' Cottonwood is a very safe small town area.

The Cottonwood Hotel
This old west 1920's era classic western two story building with TOLTEC INDIAN ARCHITECTURE designs was a popular design around the turn of the 20th century (late 1800's, early 1900's). The large overhead balcony stretches over the Main Street sidewalk and is supported by pillars. You will not find another like it in Old Town or Cottonwood for that matter. The office/lobby area has it's original high ornate tin ceiling.
