Parsons Trail #144

The Cottonwood Hotel is the closest hotel to this spectacular hiking trail and swimming hole. 1 mile to the Tutzigoot  National Monument turn-off, and another 9 mile drive down Sycamore Canyon to the trailhead. North of Clarkdale and the Verde Valley, this wilderness trail leads through the Verde River Greenway Riparian Habitat, rich in plant and animal life. Colorful cliffs and caves enclose a lush green oasis. The trail leads 4 miles to a large pool called Parson Springs where this considerable stream springs to the surface from the underground course it has followed through the majority of the canyon.
